Triangle Pose
|
Start with your legs at least a meter apart. Turn the right foot out to the right. Turn the left foot in to the right. Keep both knees straight. Keep your hips facing forward. Lift your arms out to the sides. Tuck your tail in and keep your chest open. On an exhale, keeping your knees absolutely straight, bend at the waist to your right. Hold for about 30 seconds. Come out of the pose on an inhale. Then point both feet to the left and do the left side. Trikonasana tones leg muscles, removing any stiffness in the legs and hips. Strengthens ankles, knees and thighs while developing openness in the chest cavity. A great pose as a warm up. |
